Volcano Info (IP)
The Info Bar display for Volcano Info provides information about the live feed of the latest Volcanoes throughout the world, shown on the 'Natural > Volcanoes' map layer. The data comes from the Weekly Volcanic Activity Report: a cooperative project between the Smithsonian's Global Volcanism Program and the US Geological Survey's Volcano Hazards Program. It is updated by 2300 UTC every Wednesday, with an average of 16+ reported volcanoes.
The Info Bar display shows detailed information about the volcanoes. The information is automatically divided into pages, that are then cycled automatically.
Clicking a volcano report will open a Pop-Out, which will provide additional layer information:
Volcano Name.
Volcano Position.
Volcano Time Zone.
Volcano Sunrise Local Time.
Volcano Sunset Local Time.
A map of Volcano Position, that is centered on the position of the Volcano, is included. You can left-click the map to re-center it, for a different point of view, or right-click the map to select a different map-projection: Azimuthal Equidistant, Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area North, Lambert Azimuthal Equal Area South, or Orthographic.
To learn about how sub-page scrolling is paused when a Pop-Out is opened, see the notes on the 'Pop-Out' help-page.
