Load Log to Main Log
This command loads an ADIF or Cabrillo log into the Main Log database, and displays it in the 'Main Log' tab-page. You can choose to append the new log file to existing entries in the Main Log, or overwrite those that are already there. A small window will open that gives information once the log has been identified, and shows a number of checkable options:
Include all none-geocoded QSOs - This option will import any QSOs that the program cannot find a position for.
Include all US QSOs - This option will import all QSOs with US callsigns
Include all Canadian QSOs - This option will import all QSOs with Canadian callsigns
Include all DX QSOs (Won't Be GeoCoded) - This option will import all QSOs with callsigns that are not US or Canadian. They will not be given a position in the log, though, so there is not a lot of point importing them.
Include any Exchanges - There are 2 options for exchanges, as the program organizes contest-exchanges into 2 database fields. RST is included as an exchange item.
Calculate Grid Locators from Position - Whilst loading the log, this option will calculate the Grid Locators from an available position. You can also do this later with the 'Main Log > Add GridLoc from LatLon' command for all lines, or the Main Log right-click menu-item 'Add GridLoc from LatLon' for one line.
Determine Counties/States from Position - Whilst loading the log, this option will determine the State and County from an available position. You can also do this later with the 'Main Log > Add State/County from LatLon' command for all lines, or the Main Log right-click menu-item 'Add State/County from LatLon' for one line.
When the log file has been loaded, the program performs two actions that loading a file to the Auxiliary Log does not do: it creates the Grid-Squares Table, that cross references every Band against every Grid Locator in the Log, and it creates the Counties Table, that cross references every Band against every County in the Log.
Note that when a log is imported, the operator's callsign for each QSO is not saved in the log database, only the callsign of the station that is worked. It is retained in the Log Header, though, which can be seen in the 'Log Summary' tab-page. This is only an issue if the log is later exported as an ADIF log. In this case, the callsign stored in the 'User Details' is used as the operator's callsign. To change that callsign, click 'Config > Set Program Options', and when that window opens, go to the 'User Details' tab.
