Mapping Right-Click Context Menus

The Overlay, Online, and World maps all have Context Menus, which appear when you right-click a plotted item on the maps, such as a Marker, Grid Locator, IOTA bounding-box, or County outline. Not all of the commands appear all of the time: this is dependent on what you have right-clicked on. The available commands are: Position-Referenced Browsing, Show Call in Main Log, Show Call in Auxiliary Log, and Show Call in Callbook.

Position-Referenced Browsing

The actions of the 'Position-Referenced Browsing' command depend on whether you have right-clicked a Marker, or a Bounding Box for IOTA or Grid Locator.

If you have right-clicked a Marker and chosen 'Position-Referenced Browsing', you will be taken to the 'Browse' tab-page, and the position of the Marker that you right-clicked will be entered next to the radio-button marked 'Marker Position', in the 'Select a Reference Position' panel. If you then select a table to browse in the box on the right of the page, and click 'Browse Selected Table', that table will be shown in the 'Tables' tab-page, and the entries in the 'Distance' and 'Bearing' columns will all be referenced on the position of the Marker that you right-clicked.

If you have right-clicked a Bounding Box and chosen 'Position-Referenced Browsing', you will be taken to the 'Browse' tab-page, and the bounding limits of that Bounding Box will be entered as North, South, East and West limits in the 'Limit Results to Within these Boundaries' panel. The 'Enable Boundary Limits' checkbox will also have been checked. Now, when you click 'Browse Selected Table', the selected table will be shown in the 'Tables' tab-page, filtered to contain only those entries that are within the bounding box limits.

Show Call in Main Log

This command only appears when you have clicked on to a callsign Marker. It will search for the callsign in the Main log, and then filter all entries in the log so that only QSOs with that call are showing. To reset the Log to show all QSOs, click 'Main > Reset to Show All QSOs' command from the upper menu-bar, or right-click any log entry and click the same command. This command does not change the Markers plotted on the maps, though.

Show Call in Auxiliary Log

This command only appears when you have clicked on to a callsign Marker. It will search for the callsign in the Auxiliary log, and then filter all entries in the log so that only QSOs with that call are showing. To reset the Log to show all QSOs, click 'Auxiliary > Reset to Show All QSOs' command from the upper menu-bar, or right-click any log entry and click the same command. This command does not change the Markers plotted on the maps, though.

Show Call in Callbook

This command only appears when you have clicked on to a callsign Marker. It will search for the callsign in the US or Canadian callbooks, dependent on the call being recognized as a US or Canadian callsign.
